Bronzino, Agnolo

Agnolo Bronzino (1503-1572) was an Italian Mannerist painter and one of the leading court artists of Medici Florence. He is famous for his elegant, highly finished portraits and for paintings shaped by intellectual refinement, cool beauty, and sophisticated artifice. His style became one of the defining expressions of Florentine Mannerism.
