Elsley, Arthur John
Arthur John Elsley (London, 20 November 1860 - Tunbridge Wells, 19 February 1952) was an English painter especially loved for scenes of children and dogs. His highly finished, affectionate, and easily readable compositions made him one of the most successful Victorian and Edwardian genre painters.
