Beato Angelico

Beato Angelico, or Fra Angelico (c. 1395-1455), was an Italian painter and Dominican friar. His art combines luminous color, clear composition, and deep spiritual feeling, making him one of the great masters of early Renaissance religious painting. His frescoes and panel paintings remain among the most moving devotional works of the fifteenth century.
