Gozzoli, Benozzo
Benozzo Gozzoli (c. 1420 - Pistoia, 4 October 1497) was an Italian painter. According to the most widely accepted tradition, he trained with Beato Angelico, whose influence remained important in his early development. He became known for his vivid narrative sense, decorative richness, and ability to animate sacred and courtly subjects. He is one of the most distinctive painters of the Florentine Quattrocento.
