Tennant, Dorothy

Dorothy Tennant, later Lady Stanley (London, 1855 - London, 1926), was an English painter, illustrator, and writer. She exhibited widely and produced portraits, genre scenes, and literary illustrations. Her work reflects the cultivated and socially engaged artistic milieu of late Victorian Britain.
