Del Campo, Federico

Federico Del Campo was one of the finest painters of Venetian views in the second half of the nineteenth century. Born in Lima, Peru, he studied in Madrid with Lorenzo Valles before settling in Italy, and he died in Rome in 1910. His work is especially associated with highly detailed and technically accomplished views of Venice, often produced for an international clientele of affluent European and American travelers.
