Ferrari, Gaudenzio
Gaudenzio Ferrari (Valduggia, c. 1475 - Milan, 1546) was an Italian painter, sculptor, and decorator and one of the most important artists of the Lombard Renaissance. His art combines narrative vitality, expressive warmth, and a remarkable ability to unite painting and sculpture within devotional environments. He worked especially in Piedmont and Lombardy, leaving major cycles of frescoes and sacred compositions.
