Tuke, Henry-Scott

Henry Scott Tuke (1858-1929) was an English painter associated with maritime subjects and with the artistic climate of Newlyn and Falmouth. He is known especially for coastal scenes, bathing figures, and paintings of youth set against sea and sunlight. His work joins natural observation with a fresh and luminous handling of color.
