Onderdonk, Julian

Julian Onderdonk (30 July 1882 - 27 October 1922) was a Texan Impressionist painter, often called the father of Texas painting. He is especially known for landscapes that helped define a regional vision of Texas through color, atmosphere, and light. His work brought an Impressionist sensitivity to the American Southwest.
