Munier Émile

Emile Munier (Paris, 2 June 1840 - Paris, 29 June 1895) was a French painter remembered above all for sentimental scenes of childhood and domestic tenderness. Trained in the academic tradition, he achieved popularity with polished compositions featuring children, mothers, and elegant interiors. His work belongs to the refined salon culture of nineteenth-century France.
