Di Nerio, Ugolino
Ugolino di Nerio was an Italian painter active in the early fourteenth century and connected with the Sienese school. A follower of Duccio, he worked within a refined Gothic language shaped by elegant line and devotional intensity. His surviving panels and altarpieces testify to the prestige of Sienese painting in the Trecento.
